Abstrak

Generalized Anxiety Disorder is commonly treated with benzodiazepines; however, the risk of dependence requires pharmacists to possess strong pharmacological knowledge. This cross-sectional study evaluated the knowledge of pharmacy students at Immanuel Christian University of Yogyakarta regarding benzodiazepines and its correlation with study duration. Data obtained through total sampling were analyzed using the Chi-Square test. Results showed that 74.3% of students had good knowledge, 19.7% fair, and 5.9% poor. A p-value of 0.709 ($p > 0.05$) indicates no significant relationship between study duration and knowledge level. In conclusion, pharmacy students demonstrate a good understanding of benzodiazepines, which is not influenced by their length of study.
